Giving

We call our donors “Angels” because they are the reason why our mission becomes a reality. Our Angels provide hope and kindness to hundreds of families each year and make our Ronald McDonald Houses possible. If you think about everything that goes into making a House a home, you can understand why we depend on the great people of the Ozarks time and time again to contribute and help these families in need. One-hundred percent of the funding needed to operate our Houses comes from the private sector. Individuals, groups, and corporations give out of the kindness of their hearts. Dozens of local McDonald’s locations and their customers also show support by donating their change in Donation Boxes and through special fundraising events, such as the annual Share a Heart Campaign.
By the end of 2012, we will be helping families at two Ronald McDonald Houses in Springfield. Our first House near Cox South has served over 8,000 families in the past 24 years. Our second House, located on the 6th floor of Mercy Children’s Hospital, opens in the fall of 2012 and will help 10 families each night with overnight accommodations as well as many more families of hospitalized children that do not require overnight stays during the daytime and evening hours. As you can see, your help is needed now more than ever!
